2 What is a cookie
A cookie is a small data file stored in the browser via a website. Cookies can, for example, be needed to maintain a secure session, so that a client stays logged in and has access only to their own case.
3 The cookie we use

4 Why no consent is required
The session cookie is strictly necessary to provide the secure portal function requested by the client. Without this cookie, the client cannot stay logged in and the client portal cannot function properly. Under Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act, no prior consent is required for this functional cookie.
The cookie is set as httpOnly, so scripts in the browser cannot read its content. In the production environment, the secure name with the __Secure- prefix is also used.
5 No tracking, analytics or marketing
LCaz does not use cookies or similar techniques for visitor statistics, tracking, advertising, marketing, profiling or social media. No Google Analytics, advertising pixels, embedded YouTube videos or embedded maps are used. Fonts are loaded from our own server; no connection is made to Google Fonts.
6 No third-party cookies
The session cookie is placed by LCaz as a first party from our own digital environment. No data is shared with advertisers, social media platforms or other external parties through this cookie.
The website may contain an ordinary link to WhatsApp. This link itself does not place a cookie. Only once a visitor clicks the link and opens the WhatsApp environment may WhatsApp's or Meta's privacy and cookie policy apply.
7 Temporary login link by email
A temporary login link may be sent by email for access to the client portal. This link is valid for fifteen minutes and is not a cookie. After a successful login, the necessary session cookie is placed.
8 Deleting or blocking cookies
A client can delete or block cookies through their browser settings. If the necessary session cookie is blocked, logging in to the client portal will not work, or will not work correctly. Because LCaz uses only a strictly necessary cookie, no cookie banner is shown.
9 Changes
When LCaz starts using analytical, marketing or other non-necessary cookies or similar techniques in the future, this cookie statement will be updated in advance. Where legally required, consent will then be requested before placement, through an appropriate consent function.
